I was leaving work to go to school. Freeway on ramp. Rain. On ramp has a sharp right turn and a jump if you cut the corner. I hit the jump mid turn about 35mph. The rain caused me to swing the rear out quite far. Far and long enough I had a moment of crisis that my steering corrections wouldnt do anything and I would spin 180'
I think I freaked out the car next to me but just hit third and accelerated onto the freeway like I meant to do it.

I had a moment of crisis
Was it due to hot handbrake action?

I was driving home in a snowstorm late tuesday night. The crappy all seasons on my NA had me going sideways through an unplowed neighborhood. It was a bit scary a couple times, but I'm glad that my immediate reactions were to oppo and modulate throttle. Just outside of my neighborhood on a back access road, I did spin, but I kinda knew it would happen because I went onto the throttle too hot.

I need to take out the miata and test my skillz and build the instincts. I was glad I didnt freak out and was pretty calm to counter steer and ease on the throttle a bit. At least I think I did throttle on it all happened pretty fast. Also I need to read how to drive.

The snow makes this very easy. Still awesome though! Do you have the Torsen?
